This website contains keys to the genera and species of New World ants. The keys are based on the literature, which have been updated to include recently described species, as well as on unpublished keys. Many of the keys are preliminary drafts, and may contain errors. All keys are subject to updates as more material becomes available. Keys are presented in MS Word format, and can be opened by double-clicking on the genus name. This should open your wordprocessor, which will allow you to print the key, together with the illustrations. Links in red are more or less ready to be used, those in brown are not yet available.

Please let us know if you have problems downloading large files and we will send you a CD with the files. We would greatly appreciate any suggestions, additions or corrections. You can email us at wmackay@utep.edu
