And so, a new semester has gone... 11/30/02 - 10:55PM
Last week's meeting was the last one for the semester. During this semester, ASU has accomplished several things: show new titles to the public, continue its officer transition, increase its membership, and more importantly, share the enjoyment of anime in the UTEP community.
We want to thank all those people who gave us their support. As of next semester, we will continue certain titles while renovating others. We hope to see you next semester, and good luck in your final exams!
Meeting delayed 11/21/02 - 8:00PM
Due to schedule conflicts with other classes, this week's meeting will be delayed half an hour. To make up the time, there will be no break. Check this week's meeting schedule if you are looking for a specific series' showing time.
ASU Party: yet another great success! 11/07/02 - 6:15PM
Well, last Saturday's party was a great success! Thank you all for going over to Raul's and having a good time with us. For those of you who couldn't make it to this one, don't worry! We have another one scheduled for the begining of December so, please look forward to it. Thanks to all for your generosity!!
Schedule change. 10/23/02 - 3:00PM
As it was agreed during the pre-meeting "recess" last week, the order of the titles has been changed. Saishu Heiki Kanojo (She, The Ultimate Weapon) will be shown right before the break, and Tenshi na Konamaiki (A Cheeky Angel) will be showin after Azumanga Daioh.
If you are looking for a specific title, we recommend you to check the schedule so you know at what time you need to arrive at the meeting.
Instructions for accessing the new member forums. 10/10/02 - 8:25PM
The new forum has faired fairly well during its first week of transition. A reminder to ASU members concerning the forums: You will need to have an ezboard account (http://www.ezboard.com). Once you have an account, you need to apply for membership by clicking on the "forums" link on the menu on the left. Once your application has been submitted, e-mail Jabel or Andy (see contact us section) and let us know who you are and what your username is so we can approve your request. If you have any questions, please talk to Andy or Jabel during the break or after the meeting.
New Forums Online. 10/04/02 - 12:00AM
Because of annoyance reasons (read: pop-up ads) as well as other issues, we decided to discontinue the old forums service and opened a new one that hopefully will be more flexible and useful for all. As always, access to the forums is only allowed to members.
During the break, there will be a talk regarding how to obtain access and any other questions you might have about the forums. So, if you are interested on being able to discuss about anime with fellow ASU members, the break might be useful to you.

The following ar the people elected to be the ASU representatives for the Fall 2002 semester:

Vice-president: Nathan Flood.

Congratulations to the elected officials.
Elections for Representatives. 09/05/02 - 10:30PM
After the nominations during last meeting, this week will be the elections of the representatives of the Fall 2002 semester. Elections will be held during the break at the middle of the meeting, so make sure to be there to have your voice counted!
Nominations for Repesentatives. 08/26/02 - 2:25PM
During the first meeting we will be taking nominations from those who are interested to become an ASU reprsentative. Elections will be held next week. If you want to become a candidate, remember that being a representative means to work in behalf of the other members, as well as participating in weekly organizational meetings.
