More slumber parties! 04/16/02 - 03:55AM

If you thought that we had enough slumber parties this semester, think again, because two slumber parties are coming soon! The first one will be at Albert's place on April 27th, and the second one will be at James' place on May 11th.

Expect to see more information on the other activities section.

Dame La Mano Gaming Competition! 03/28/02 - 12:00AM

The Anime Society of UTEP, in coopartion with the Association for Computer Machinery (ACM), UTEP Chapter, is proud to announce the incoming Dame La Mano Gaming Competition. The purpose of this event is to raise canned food to be donated to the Dame La Mano Shelter.

So, if you like video games, you think you have the skills, and want to help others, why don't you participate? The featured games will be Capcom vs. SNK 2 and Tekken Tag Tournament. In addition, free games of Dance Dance Revolution and anime showings will also be offered.

New web page design! 03/10/02 - 10:00PM

After a week of fighting with the web page's template, the stylesheet, Photoshop, some Internet Explorer bugs and whatnot, I was finally able to finish the new web page design. So what do you guys think? Do you like it? Don't you think Naru and Motoko look cute?

I really hope you enjoy the design as much as I enjoyed (and learned) making it. ^_^ If you want to provide feedback feel free to contact me, or you can discuss about it in the member forums.

Meeting start time delays. 02/21/02 - 10:30PM

Due to schedule conflicts with classes, the February 22nd and March 1st meetings will be delayed until 2:00PM. Because of this, the schedule of both meetings will be kept as TBA so members can voice their opinion on what to do on these two meetings.

First Spring 2002 get-together. 02/15/02 - 12:15AM

This weeked we will have the first 'slumber party' of the semester. For information on the time and location, check out the other activities section (hey, I have to put *something* in there, isn't it? ^_-)

Title voting results are up, schedule changes. 02/15/02 - 12:05AM

After an unanymous vote, it has been decided that X will be the title that will replace Argento Soma in the regular weekly showings. Also, for this week we will have Noir at the beginning of the meeting due to a member request. Make sure to check this week's schedule in case there is something you don't want to miss.

ASU officer week, changes on weekly titles. 01/31/02 - 10:45PM

Because of an unanimous vote last meeting, it has been decided that Argento Soma will be dropped from the regular meeting schedule. This means that this week has become an officer week, so your officers (together with advisor and the ex-president-now-'webmaster') will get the chance to torture you with weird, overly cute, insane titles (okay, it's not that bad ^_-).

To summarize, this week we will have a collection of new titles, from which you guys will be able to elect the successor of Argento Soma. Stay tuned on the next meeting section to find out what we are going to show!

Well, new semester means more anime. This is a first for ASU as it is the vey first time that we have a meeting in the first week of school, so it looks like the anime bug was too much, eh? Are you guys ready? Then fasten your seat belts and get ready for the ride! ^_^
