ASU Dead Day Meeting 11/30/05 - 9:00 pm

This Friday, December 2nd, we will have our meeting in the Union Cinema, starting at 1:00pm. We will be showing the conclusion to Beck and Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid, as well as two more episodes of Monster.

ConFront 2005: a great success!! 10/12/05 - 11:50 am

We had a blast at this year's ConFront. People were having a good time watching anime and a lot of people were interested in the Ramune, Pocky and Yan-yan that we offered. Thanks to everyone who helped out.

If you're in Juárez this weekend, make sure to stop our booth/table at this year's ConFront! (go to the flyers section to see a map of how to get there.) We'll be showing anime as well as selling snacks and a few anime/manga-related items. As for the regular meeting, it will still take place as normal.

ConFront 2005 news and annoucements! 09/27/05 - 5:40 pm

As we have mentioned in the past, ASU will again participate in this year's ConFront and we're looking for volunteers to help. If you can volunteer time and/or items/prizes, please let us know this Friday during the meeting. Also, next Friday, October 7th the majority of the Officers will be manning our booth/space at ConFront but the meeting for that Friday should still be held. Stay tuned to the website for the latest news.

ASU will participate again at this year's ConFront! 09/20/05 - 1:20 pm

The Anime Society at the University will again participate in Convención de la Frontera, a yearly event in Ciudad Juárez celebrating comics, manga and anime. This year's ConFront 2005 will take place in Parque Central in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, México on Friday October 7th and Saturday October 8th starting at around noon. If you're planning to be down there during those days, please make sure to stop by.

ASU's first game tournament is coming up soon. Date, games and systems are being discussed/secured so, as the information becomes available, we'll let you guys know.

Those of you who attended AX with us remember the extra expense of $20 per person incurred due to car trouble. Some have already given Gaspar the $20. Some others haven't yet. If you still haven't done so, please make sure to get the money to Gaspar asap. Thanks!

Yes, you read right. After many, many years of starting meetings at 1:00, this Fall 2005 semester will see ASU meetings start at 1:30 every Friday. Make sure you mark your calendars!
