Strong Academic Programs

UTEP College of Business Administration, the only AACSB  accredited BBA program in the El Paso-Juarez region, offers quality academic programs that prepare students to enter the business world one step ahead of the rest. We are educating the next generation of business leaders and growing a new breed of entrepreneurs.

The College grants BBA degrees in the following majors:

Experiential Learning

Internships provide students with the opportunity to gain experiential learning in a professional environment giving them a competitive advantage over other graduates with less or no practical work experience.  Therefore, the College is committed to connect and expand the employer network in order to provide our students as many internship opportunities as possible.  In COBA, students will find the resources they need to obtain internships, while employers will meet well-prepared and knowledgeable professionals.

Professional Development

Student professional development is a focal point at UTEP  College of Business Administration. The college offers programs that focus on skill development, corporate experience, and exposure to national/international business environments. These collaborative learning experiences are a major tool for improving students’ learning experience thus enhancing the students’ success. From our freshman orientation program for new business students to career workshops for graduating seniors, the college's Undergraduate Advising Center provides our students with the skills they need to succeed in the real world.

As part of the professional development programs the college created and launched the COBA Passport Program in January 2014.  This program is a voluntary non-academic professional development program that provides guidance to our students in career building skills as well as networking opportunities. Some of the subjects that this programs focuses are resume building, interviewing skills, elevator pitch, among others.  Students who complete this program will be certified by the College of Business  Administration.
