To better reflect the Texas Common Course Numbering System and in response to a legislative and Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board initiative to facilitate the transfer of students among Texas institutions, The University of Texas at El Paso has changed its course numbering system. As a result, the first two digits of each course number are transposed: the first digit now reflects the course level and the second digit now reflects course credit (for example, ENGL 3111 becomes ENGL 1311).
Included in this addendum is a complete listing of courses (old and new numbers) and their prerequisite(s), if applicable (new numbers). In addition, this addendum contains new and updated information regarding policies and procedures and the University Core Curriculum.
