Graduate students who enroll for at least nine semester hours during a long semester are considered full-time for registration and financial aid purposes. All other graduate students are considered part-time.

The maximum course load for a graduate student is 15 semester hours during a long semester, or nine semester hours in a summer term; registration in excess of these figures requires the approval of the departmental Graduate Advisor and the Director of Graduate Student Services.
