Introduction to Materials Science and Engineering (3-0)
An introduction to the relationship between structure and composition and the mechanical, chemical, electrical, optical, magnetic, and thermal properties of metals, ceramics, polymers, and composites. Emphasis is placed on the selection and application of materials for a variety of engineering applications. Prerequisite: CHEM 1305 with a grade of "C" or better.
