The MOT Program received 2.56 million federal dollars to provide scholarships to disadvantaged students
The Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) Program at the University of Texas at El Paso, has recently been awarded 2.56 million federal grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency under the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). This 4-year funding will be awarded to qualified students, providing at least half of their tuition and educationally related expenses. In the previous cycle, the HRSA Scholarship for Disadvantaged Students (SDS) funding had helped over 70% of the MOT students; many of them have stayed in SW Texas and served in this medically underserved region.
