The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) has been
selected by the National
Science Foundation (NSF) to sponsor a one-day workshop on
January 22, 2008. The workshop will include an overview of NSF and its
programs, as well as, the agency’s proposal and review process.
Representatives from NSF’s seven directorates: Biological
Sciences; Computer and Information Science and
Engineering; Education and Human Resources; Engineering;
Geosciences; Mathematical
and Physical Science; and Social,
Behavioral and Economic Sciences are scheduled to make
presentations, as well as, chat informally with participants.
Representatives from NSF’s Office
of International Science and Engineering will also be available
to answer questions.
UTEP will also host two NSF Fastlane
tutorial sessions on January 23, 2008. Fastlane is NSF's online
proposal submission tool.
Registration closes January 15, 2008. Seating is
limited. There is no registration fee.
