Trouble the Water

Trouble the Water gives us a very intimate look at the lives of one family who stayed home to brave the storm when Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans in 2005. Shot entirely by amateur video in New Orleans' 9th Ward, this film is a truly raw experience.

Towelhead

Come see this story about an Arab-American girl dealing with racism, her blooming sexuality, and a strict father. Towelhead takes place during the Gulf War and may also be known by the alternate title: Nothing is Private.

Milk is the much anticipated film from Gus Van Sant about California's first openly gay elected official who was assassinated nearly 11 months into his term. Sean Penn as Milk has been touted as a must-see performance.
