Cardinalidae—Cardinals and Dickcissels

This group includes the Northern Cardinal and the congeneric Pyrrhuloxia, grosbeaks, and the Dickcissel. Interestingly enough, the grosbeaks are unknown from our Pleistocene faunas despite the easy identifiability of their large beaks.
