Lasiopodomys morphotype—Lasiopodomys-like VoleRegional Pleistocene distribution of Lasiopodomys-like vole

A single, somewhat damaged m1 documents occurrence of a vole showing Lasiopodomys-like morphology in the Anza-Borrego (Murray et al. 2011). Murray et al. note problems with the taxonomic position of fossil Lasiopodomys-like voles in North America and assign the specimen to a morphotype category rather than assign the specimen to a formal generic name. Age of the specimen is between 1.77 and 1.07 my (Murray et al. 2011).

Sites.
