Parents, Families and Friends
Welcome to UTEP, a major urban research university located at the heart of the U.S.-Mexico border. UTEP is home to nearly 20,000 students – the majority of them from the Paso del Norte region.
But no matter where your roots are planted, you’re family at UTEP.
We’re an open campus that encourages and supports parental and family involvement. Our many community activities provide lots of opportunities for you to get to know the university and support your student Miner.
We help you stay informed about important dates, news and events relevant to you and your student Miner – whether that student is your child, your grandchild, your parent or your friend.
Visit Horizons Online News for weekly news updates, feature stories and photo galleries; enjoy reading NOVA Quarterly magazine online; or learn how you can become a friend of the university through the UTEP Alumni Association – even if you’re not an alumnus yourself.
For an overview of the university, go to UTEP Facts Online ; or read the President’s Welcome to learn more about the university’s mission and vision.
And, there’s no better way to support your Miner than to become one yourself. If you’re interested in continuing your education at UTEP, visit the Office of Admissions and Recruitment or the Graduate School; or sign up for continuing education courses at Professional and Continuing Education.
