Colorado River/New River Data Synthesis
1. Purpose and Objectives: The purpose is to develop a better understanding of the water quality of the Colorado and New Rivers by compiling and synthesizing existing data.
2. Funding: EPA has provided $182,000 to the University of California at Davis.
3. Partners: EPA and U. C. Davis
4. Description: U. C. Davis is compiling existing data on the lower Colorado River and on the New River and performing a new series of reviews to synthesize the data and make it more understandable to the public. U. C. Davis will prepare copies of their views both in English and Spanish. U. C. Davis is also preparing a database of the existing data. The data base will also be used for the data collected as part of the Binational Colorado River /New River Toxics Survey Project.
5. Status: Project is in underway and should be completed this year (1997).
