New River Toxics Model

1. Purpose and Objective: The purpose is to determine the fate of toxic organic pollutants in the New River by developing a water quality model.

2. Funding: EPA has provided $70,000 to the University of California at Davis (UC Davis) for this project.

3. Partners: UC Davis and EPA

4. Description: UC Davis will develop, implement, and evaluate a model to estimate the fate of toxic organic pollutants in the New River. The model will be based on sampling conducted by UC Davis.

5. Status: Collection of samples is complete and the model is currently being developed. A report will be due this year.
