U.S./Mexico Peer Matching Wastewater Treatment Facilities: Operation Demonstration Project

1. Purpose and Objectives: To foster ongoing peer relationships between wastewater treatment operators and mangers in the United States and Mexico to facilitate the exchange of information and technology.

2. Funding: In 1994, EPA awarded $150,000 to the Texas Engineering Extension (TEEX).

3. Partners: EPA Region 6, the Texas Water Utility Association and other TEEX Divisions.

4. Description: The Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), Water and Wastewater Division will form partnerships with the Texas Water Utility Association Division and other TEEX Divisions and conduct binational seminars attended by wastewater treatment operators from both the United States and Mexico to encourage ongoing peer relationships.
