Hispanic Network Magazine recently announced its 2017 “Best of the Best” lists, and The University of Texas at El Paso’s Master of Business Administration program was included among the nation’s elite.

Irvine, California-based DiversityComm, Inc., which publishes the magazine, said the ratings are based on polls of hundreds of Fortune 1,000 companies and select evaluations. The company’s Professional Woman’s Magazine also rated UTEP’s MBA program among the country’s best in 2016.

Robert Nachtmann, DBA, dean of the College of Business Administration, said the importance of such acknowledgements is two-fold. First, they motivate faculty and staff, and reinforce their efforts to enhance the academic experiences of UTEP’s MBA students. Second, they boost the program’s profile, which creates more career opportunities for UTEP’s MBA students and graduates.

In its announcement of the list, DiversityComm lauded the academic institutions for their outstanding efforts to promote the quest for true diversity.

COBA’s MBA program also was recognized earlier this year by Top Management Degrees, an online site that promotes business and management education. The program earned a No. 19 ranking in the state based on price, prestige, location and accreditation.
