UTEP Photo Earns Top Design at Cyber Conference

Angelica Marquez, a freshman computer science major, won best photo design at the recent Women in Cyber Security (WiCyS) Conference in Tucson, Arizona.
Marquez was one of 11 UTEP students to attend the March 30-April 1, 2017, conference that included a variety of talks, workshops and poster sessions focused on cyber security.
As a result of her photo design, which is attached, conference organizers will provide support for Marquez’s travel, lodging and registration for next year’s event in Chicago, Illinois.
The 11 students were accompanied by Salamah Salamah, Ph.D., clinical associate professor of computer science, who lauded the students for their enthusiasm and professionalism at the conference.
