Skov Essay Competition on Business Ethics
Launched in the 2013, the Skov Essay Competition on Business Ethics is an annual essay writing contest for high school students from public and private schools in the El Paso region. Students participate in the competition by writing about a topic that challenges them in the area of how ethical issues relate to business. The competition was created as a way to interact with the community and positively influence the ethical climate in the El Paso region.
This year we open the competition to high school freshman students, inviting them to write on the following topic: “Discuss one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals formulated by the United Nations. Why is this goal important to you??”
The College of Business Administration created the competition as a way to consistently interact with the community and positively influence the ethical climate in the El Paso region. Primary funding for the competition is generously provided by Robert E. and Jacqueline Skov, and additional funding is kindly provided by United Bank of El Paso del Norte.
