Julissa Corona Takes First Place in Student Poster Competition at NASW TX Conference
October 5th, 2017, Ms. Julissa Corona, MSW student, participated at the NASW TX conference’s student poster presentation. Earlier this year, Ms. Corona worked with faculty from the Department of Social work at The University of Texas at El Paso in an experiential study amongst MSW students with the purpose of increasing cultural sensitivity to and quality of services available for the Deaf community of El Paso, TX. The results were documented and presented at the conference, where students from other universities were also participating. Ms. Corona documented the project and brought home the first place for her poster. Go Miners!
