Class Medallions

The tradition of the Class Medallion began in 1998 to commemorate UTEP’s Commencement. Since then, the medallion has been used as a symbol of class unity. Many graduates keep their medallions as a cherished memento, while others present theirs to loved ones as a special thank-you gift for their support.
The medallion is offered as a part of the Grad Pack Medallion Pack available at the annual GRAD FAIR typically held at the UTEP Bookstore in mid-October for Winter ceremonies and in mid-March for Spring ceremonies. Candidates are invited via campus bulletins and by email to attend the GRAD FAIR at the Bookstore with sufficient time to schedule a visit to the Bookstore.
GRAD FAIR provides candidates with general information about commencement, provides an opportunity to take a graduation portrait in regalia, an opportunity to buy your Class Ring, as well as graduation diploma frames, graduation caps, gowns, ribbons, stoles, and commencement announcements/invitations. Family members are invited to attend.
