¡Bienvenidos! is a UTEP Edge campaign to articulate and elevate a campus culture of student belonging, engagement, and lifelong success. Through this campaign, faculty and students are encouraged to build a positive, professional relationship by engaging in conversations about academic performance, exploring ideas related discipline or career, and all of the opportunities and resources UTEP.

StrengthsFinder
StrengthsFinder is an online assessment tool that uses an asset-based approach consistent with the UTEP Edge Student Success Framework, validates our understanding of our own strengths and those of our colleagues, and provides ideas on how to maximize those strengths at work and throughout our lives. Several hundred UTEP community members have participated in this workshop and we are hoping to spread this dynamic professional development opportunity even further across campus.
Assessments and workshops are available, free of charge, to UTEP departments and/or collaborating groups of students, faculty, and staff. Click here to schedule a workshop for your group.

UTEP Edge Student Leadership Series
The UTEP Edge Student Leadership Series is a tetrad of programs that intend to enhance student leaders’ learning and development in the areas of self-knowledge and leadership competence, as adapted from CliftonStrengths, The Leadership Identity Development Model, and The Social Change Model of Leadership Development. Each program focuses on personal, organizational, and societal development.

UTEP Edge Student Leaders
The UTEP Edge Student Leader program is offered by the Student Engagement & Leadership Center. Students are selected through a nomination process based on their experience in applying Edge high impact practices in their leadership styles or recognition as new and emerging leaders on campus. Students who are ultimately selected for this experience will serve as ambassadors, advisors, leaders, and as a focus group for the UTEP Edge for one academic year.
