Students accepted into the program are required to complete eight (8) sessions, prior to the last day of the institute. Click here to view the menu of professional development sessions.

The Spring 2021 program runs  from March 10 to April 23, 2021.

The program is open to all currently enrolled students.

Students who are interested in gaining a competitive edge in obtaining internships and employment should apply for this program. The program is also an excellent way to meet faculty mentors and network with local and regional employers.

To sign up for the Spring 2021 cohort, click here and enroll in one of the kickoff sessions. Students who sign up for a kickoff session are automatically enrolled into a cohort. Two kickoff sessions will be available on Friday, March 10 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Students interested in the program need only attend one kickoff session.

Students who sign up for and attend a kickoff session are automatically enrolled into the program. The program is limited to 400 students each semester, and enrollment is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The menu of professional development sessions is available here. Register for each session by clicking on "Register". Students will be prompted to log in with their UTEP credentials.

Student participants are required to attend each session for the full hour and complete a session survey immediately following the event. To view your transcript, log in to CampusEdge and click on "My Transcript", found in the "My Events" drop down menu.

Yes, students in the program can attend as many sessions as they would like. Students must meet the program requirements to receive the service award.

Students in the program are required to choose from the available menu of activities. However, students can propose a bonus activity, as long as it verifiable. Please contact to propose a bonus activity.

Students who have completed the program requirements will receive their service award at the end of the semester.

The service award will not interfere with students’ financial aid eligibility.
