Holly Mata

Ph.D., Interdisciplinary Health Sciences

Dr. Mata works part-time as a Research Scientist Associate with the Paso del Norte Institute for Healthy Living, and is Adjunct Faculty at UTEP (School of Nursing) and NMSU (Public Health Sciences). She is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and is Certified in Public Health (CPH). She has experience in health equity advocacy, mental health policy, public health workforce development, community mobilization, alcohol & tobacco policy, and social determinants of health. She provides support to the Otero County Community Health Council and serves as a Southern New Mexico liaison for Empower Change.
