Welcome to the Entering Student Program (ESP) website. We are an innovative program designed to help students develop their UTEP Edge and increase their opportunities for academic success. ESP offers UNIV 1301 Seminar in Critical Inquiry for entering first-year and transfer students, and we administer learning communities for both general and special populations. Our teaching faculty consists of the ESP faculty members as well as instructors from departments across the UTEP campus. Peer (student) leaders assist as members of our UNIV 1301 instructional teams, serving as instructional guides and academic role models. Our course instructional teams and our Learning Community faculty are committed to student success and dedicated to promoting excellence in teaching and learning. We invite you to explore our website for additional information regarding our courses, learning communities, programs, and initiatives.
