Congratulations to the families whose students are continuing their education at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). You must be very proud of such an accomplishment!

As you know, a college degree can have a tremendously positive impact on a person’s life. A degree generally represents a substantial increase in average lifetime earnings; a college degree also supports job satisfaction and job stability in addition to the increased knowledge and skills a person gains. Simply stated, earning a college degree—whether it is a bachelor’s or a graduate degree—is a transformative experience in a person’s life.

Obviously, you want to support your student’s success at UTEP, but you may have questions and concerns about how best to do so. The information found on this website is intended to help families better understand the students’ college experience and to provide some suggestions for ways to support their transition to the university and their academic success at UTEP.
