Lecturer to Discuss Migration and the Right Wing

Carlos Sandoval Garcia, Ph.D., a visiting professor and research scholar from the Institute of Social Investigations at the University of Costa Rica in San Jose, will speak about how migration has become the banner of the right wing. Sandoval is an expert in the topic of migration and refugee studies in Central America. He has published five books on the subject. The presentation, which will be in Spanish, is free and open to the public.

Sandoval is at UTEP as part of the Minority Health International Research and Training Program of the College of Health Sciences.
