Dr. Cisneros is associate professor and Director of the Educational Leadership and Administration Ed.D. program. He currently serves as a member of the UTEP Hispanic Servingness Research Council and the Provost’s Council for Community Engagement. In 2022, he was selected as a Provost Faculty Fellow, where he works to advance the implementation of the UTEP Edge across academic departments.

Starting his 19th year at UTEP, Dr. Larry Lesser is a UTEP Distinguished Teaching Professor, a Professor of Mathematics Education in the Mathematical Sciences Department, and was the director for 3 years of UTEP's teaching center (CETaL). Dr. Lesser's teaching is informed by diverse life and work experiences, including state agency statistician, statistical consultant, high school math department chair, textbook author, journalist, songwriter, poet, and father of a December college graduate. Lesser's teaching has yielded awards within and beyond his discipline, ranging from the state level (e.g., UTEP's most recent winner of a Minnie Stevens Piper Professor award) to the regional level (e.g., the Mathematical Association of America's Southwestern Section) to the national level (e.g., last summer's winner of the Waller Distinguished Teaching Career Award from the American Statistical Association). Lesser has also won awards for his songs and poetry and connects even those passions with STEM education, such as in his recent NSF grants. His most recent prize was at the 2022 Electronic Conference on Teaching Statistics, for his activity on teaching culturally relevant probability, inspired by UTEP's strategic advantage of its people's distinctive diversity. Dr. Lesser's current teaching project is co-leading the major redesign of the math department's biggest course (MATH 1320) for Reimagining the Core. Dr. Ann Quiroz Gates is Senior Vice Provost of Faculty Affairs at the University of Texas at El Paso, where she holds the AT&T Distinguished Professorship. She also served as the Chair of the Computer Science Department and Associate VP of Research and Sponsored Projects. Gates is the Executive Director of the Computing Alliance of Hispanic-Serving Institutions, one of NSF’s National INCLUDES Alliances a nationally recognized network focused on the recruitment, retention, and advancement of Hispanics in computing. Gates serves on the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities Advisory Committee on Faculty Affairs and the NSF Committee on Equal Opportunities in Science and Engineering. She was a founding member of the NSF Advisory Committee for Cyberinfrastructure, served on the Board of Governors of IEEE-Computer Society, and was a member of the Naval Research Advisory Committee. Gates received the 2021 Alfredo G. de los Santos Jr. Distinguished Leadership Award, 2015 Great Minds in STEM's Education award, CRA’s 2015 A. Nico Habermann Award, 2010 Anita Borg Institute Social Impact Award, and 2009 Richard A. Tapia Achievement Award for Scientific Scholarship, Civic Science, and Diversifying Computing. In 2005, she received the University of Texas at El Paso Chancellor Council’s Award for Outstanding Teaching

Dr. Raheem received her Ph.D. in Construction Management from the University of Florida (UF) in 2014. She holds multiple master’s degrees in Building Construction, Environmental Engineering, and Civil Engineering from UF. She is an Associate Professor and Director of the Construction Safety Program at the University of Texas, El Paso. Dr. Raheem is an invited member of the President’s Advisory Committee on Sustainability and Academic Innovation Committee at UTEP. She has served as a merit reviewer for the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Technology Commercialization Fund (TCF), DOE-NE's Construction Group, and Oak Ridge Institute of Science and Education. She has a research portfolio of more than $3.5 million with projects funded by various U.S. federal agencies and non-profit organizations such as the Department of Labor (DOL), Department of State (DOS), National Science Foundation (NSF), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), 100,000 Strong in the Americas and VentureWell. Her research interests include smart construction, construction safety and health, construction technologies, and asset management. She is an Envision™ Sustainability Professional (ENV SP), a certified associate member of the Design-Build Institute of America (Assoc. DBIA™), and OSHA certified Master Trainer. Dr. Raheem has received several prestigious national, regional, and university awards, including the 2022 Great Minds in STEM (GMiS) HENAAC Education Award, 2022 UTEP Academy of Distinguished Teachers’ Outstanding Teaching Award, 2021 Outstanding Young Faculty Award-American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE)-Gulf Southwest Section, 2020 Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence-College of Engineering at UTEP, 2020 STAR Educator of the Year Award-Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), 2018 Elsevier Outstanding Reviewer, 2017 STEM Accelerator Faculty Partner-Educate Texas, 2016 ASCE Excellence in Civil Engineering Education (ExCEED) Fellowship.
