Leadership
InSPIRE aims to facilitate professional development programs and activities that will prepare future academic and civic leaders including:
- Developing and disseminating techniques for effective practices in leadership, faculty mentoring, and career development.
- Collaborating with the campus community and taking advantage of the wide range of expertise on campus to develop faculty leadership programming relevant to all areas of an academic career.
- Fostering initiatives aimed at incorporating leadership into the curriculum.
- Providing faculty mentoring/career development, including delivering, evaluating, coordinating, and improving programming for campus initiatives to strengthen support of early and mid-career faculty.
Dialogues in Leadership
Dialogues in Leadership (DiL), is an asset-based approach to leadership designed to create a vibrant community of practice engaged in discussions around the strengths, stories, and skills that are shared and valued within the faculty and staff of a Hispanic serving, 21st century university.

Global Education Leadership Series
The series are designed as workshops for UTEP faculty and staff with the aim of advancing global education, co-hosted by InSPIRE and the Office of International Program and Study Abroad. The topics include the process and timeline for submitting a program proposal, identifying international partners, developing international field experiences, as well as introducing innovative, flexible, and creative connections between theory and practice.
Leadership Essentials
Leadership Essentials is a workshop series that feature community and campus leaders discussing a variety of topics on effective leadership. The series is a product of a partnership between Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, the Office of Human Resources, and InSPIRE.
