Develop a who's who list of people and places forming telecommunications networks for delivering instruction in which you are personally and professionally interested in gaining more in-depth learning and familiarity.

Make an online visit to at least three of the Web sites of these people and places and develop a one-page handout listing the URL addresses and interesting information you learned to share with other students in class and the instructor.

This Web site provides all sorts of online references for teachers, administrators, as well as parents. These references cover different areas of education from specific content area material to behavior management, as well as technology issues. They are also currently sponsoring a pilot program involving over 100 schools, including Harlingen High School, in which students in a world history class are communicating and conducting research via handheld wireless computers.

The mentoring network provides an excellent forum for inexperienced to get advice and guidance from experienced professionals from around the world. This particular website is geared toward women in the engineering and sciences, but others exist or could be created to cover any job field or subject area.

Blue Web'n is a searchable database of over 1000 blue ribbon Internet teaching and learning sites categorized by subject area, audience, and type. The organization of this site is excellent and very easy to search and navigate. The site also provides a Filamentality tool to help instructors develop a Web site for their course.
