Leann Walker
I was born and went to college in Minnesota, Duluth as a matter of fact, and after teaching art for 2 years I got married and moved to Rio Hondo, Texas. Here my husband and I taught side by side at Rio Hondo Junior High for 3 years and loved every part about the Valley. With my younger brother still at home, and older sister having her first baby we made the trek back to Minnesota, and my husband and I both now work for Minneapolis Public Schools. I am teaching elementary art and he is teaching 8th grade math and working on his administrative license.
In my spare time I enjoy traveling and all forms of art such as drawing and ceramics, but one of my favorite things to do is snowmobile. I am also completing my Educational Technology degree from Brownsville, TX, but am finishing all my courses online since relocating back to Minnesota.
Minneapolis Public Schools has a large teaching and instruction division, and with my degree I hope to work with other teaching professionals developing courses and instruction that utilized technology for the classroom and distance learners.
