The following sites offer a wealth of information regarding the Development
and Evaluation of Distance Learning in Education. I found these sites to be
very insightful and beneficial.
ACSDE site provides information about The American Journal Of Distance Education,
The Distance Education Online Symposium (DEOS), The Research Monograph Series
and other publications and information about Americas oldest (1987) and principal
Center of Research and Scholarship about Distance Education. Included is a distance
education searchable database, an index and abstracts from articles in The American
Journal Of Distance Learning.

The United States Distance Learning Association is a nonprofit organization
formed in 1987. The association's purpose is to promote the development and
application of distance learning for education and training. The constituents
we serve include Pre-K through grade 12 education, higher education, home school
education, continuing education, corporate training, military and government
training, and telemedicine. Toward this purpose the United States Distance Learning
Association has convened National Policy Forums in 1991, 1997, and 1999 to develop
and publish National
Policy Recommendations that have been the basis of legislative and administrative
proposals in education and telecommunications policy.
