Lesson 11
What do I think
about evaluating technology in instruction? I believe we are on the tip of the
iceberg when it comes to technology in education. This period of evaluating
and transition will open many more doors for the future of all students. We
must look into the future and forge ahead with information and evaluation assessments
that will encourage growth and excellence.

This site is basically a presentation by Theodore W. Frick regarding overall instructional technology. I believe it is all encompassing and informative and speaks in lay terms so that all educators can understand. Much is transpiring concerning technology and education and many feel overwhelmed and confused. This presentation speaks in clear, concise terms and makes reference to many criteria that educators can use as a standard. Most vital is the reference to National Study of School Evaluation and the official criteria established by this organization.

"We are far enough along in the technological revolution and its application to learning that it is time for systematic review and analysis of what works best." I believe this states it all. Educators have been utilizing new, advanced technology for decades and only through research and evaluation can we progress. http://www.electronic-school.com/2000/01/0100f3.html This article is great for those interested in global instruction and the multi-lingual learner. Many teachers in my own little district here in the tip of Texas are utilizing emailing and chats to converse in other areas and this site has much information that is useful and informative.
