Mary Lou Becerril

       My name is Mary Lou Becerril. I live in Brownsville Texas. I have a BA in History from the University of Texas at Brownsville. I am finishing my last semester in the Educational Technology Masters Degree Program at the University of Texas at Brownsville. I have been teaching history for the past 8 years at Hanna High School. I have taught World History, U.S. History and Reading Improvement. Incorporating technology into my lessons has changed my students attitudes from "history is so boring" to "I like this old stuff."

     My hobbies include reading historical fiction and gardening even in the HOT South Texas summers. I especially like going to South Padre Island and spending time with my two young cousins.
