Philis Cook

       I am Philis Cook and live in Brownsville, Texas. I began my career in teaching rather late in life after raising children and managing a farm. I have been teaching technology for 9 years. I taught 8th grade computer literacy for 8 years and this will be my second year teaching technology to K-5.

     I have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. One daughter lives in Arkansas and is raising 3 children, and another daughter is married and lives in Louisiana and is raising two children. My son has one daughter and lives on South Padre where he is the President of the Chamber. My youngest daughter is a senior at UT Austin majoring in MIS.

     My hobbies include reading, quilting, and sewing. My husband and I also enjoy traveling around visiting our grandchildren and visiting our farm in Arkansas.
