Mathew McElroy
In terms of my studies, I enjoy political philosophy (really), administrative theory, and cost benefit analysis models (no, really). My hobbies include reading, soccer, tennis, and jogging.
Greetings! My name is Mathew McElroy, and I'm the Senior Technical Associate for the office of Technology Planning and Distance Learning here at UTEP. I have a degree in English and American Literature; and I'm also working on a Master in Public Administration degree, which I hope to finish in the Spring if my department offers the ever elusive "Public Sector Finance." I recently came to this office from both the Ysleta Independent School District, where I was an English teacher at Eastwood High School, and the Public Policy Research Center (PPRC) here at UTEP. At Eastwood I worked teaching my peers how to incorporate technology and multimedia presentations into their classrooms and taught my students a number of the same skills. At the PPRC, I worked on anything from federal grants to technical reports, publications, indexes, and graphics.
