Age. Mid/Late Wisconsin; almost certainly earlier
than Wisconsin pleniglacial.
Description. Split off from Animal Fair (UTEP Loc. 22) as probably distinctly older. The site is a small opening to a vertical chimney, part of Entrance Fissure, but farther north than Animal Fair. It also includes a few specimens from a nearby debris slope that should be comparable in age.
Discussion. Re-identification of Panthera cf. onca (Harris 1993c) to P. atrox removes Jaguar from the site list. Likewise the Conepatus identification has been withdrawn as incorrect. The situation with the antilocaprids is uncertain; the specimens identified here as Capromeryx seem intermediate in size between that genus and Stockoceros. Further study hopefully will resolve the problem.
