Neotoma "lepida" Thomas 1893—Desert WoodratRegional Pleistocene distribution of Neotoma "lepida"

Messing (1986) listed Neotoma lepida from Jimenez Cave in Chihuahua, Mexico. Since that time, a number of changes in our understanding of western woodrats has occurred, and the material needs to be restudied. In the meantime, the taxon is recorded here as N. "lepida" with the understanding that the taxon quite likely doesn't fit with the current understanding of N. lepida.

Sites.

Mid/Late Wisconsin/Holocene: Jimenez Cave (Messing 1986).
