gypsum ridgeAge. Early Irvingtonian, 1.95 to 2.1 Ma (Wagner and Prothero 2001).

General Description.The site appears to represent the progradation of an alluvial fan onto a shallow lake (Wagner and Prothero 2001). Approximately 24 sites within a 55-ft stratigraphic section produced the Gypsum Ridge local fauna (Wagner and Prothero (2001).
