Changes, August through October 2013

rule

This page documents meaningful changes between 1 August and 31 October 2013.

6 Aug: A notice has been placed on the Equus page that only specimens examined by myself have been changed from Equus niobrarensis to E. scotti. Other records given in the literature as E. niobrarensis are retained for the time being, since other workers have not had time to consider whether synonymizing E. niobrarensis with E. scotti is acceptable. Notice of this also has been entered in the E. scotti account.

24 Sep 2013: A number of changes were made to the Sierra Diablo taxa list, including addition of Tamias, Spilogale gracilis/putorius, Equus ? francisci, and Equus cf. scotti.

26 Sep 2013: Individual taxon accounts updated with the changes of 14 Sep.

31 Oct 2013: The work has been given a new title (Pleistocene Vertebrates: Southwestern USA and Northwestern Mexico). A number of sites and taxon records from Chihuahua and Sonora have been added. Entry of data concerning these two states will be continuing for some time. The site of Térapa and its fauna has been added thus far.
