Welcome to the Impact of Information Systems.  

I hope you are all prepared for an adventure!  You are about to experience a living virtual classroom....a classroom where you learn through interaction and experience.    The course design has been developed by experts from all over the world using resources from across the globe.  Some of the most prestigious, experienced, and well-known organizations and professionals have agreed to provide the material you will find in each module.  Each group of contributions has been carefully crafted to introduce you to the exciting world of technology.  You will explore the Titanic, as well as visit the world-famous MIT Media Lab. You will become a virtual citizen in a virtual community. You will have the opportunity to personally meet and pick the brains of professionals and academics from around the country in cyberspace. Information technology is one of the most complex and fascinating fields to study and the course material has been designed to reflect both of these characteristics.
