Current technology policy in government focuses on the ways in
which information technology (IT) can be used to increase efficiency and performance
within public agencies at the federal, state, and local levels. The use and implementation
of technology can improve govenrment and public services through policy, management, and
technology innovation. This module focuses on the role of government in the use of
technology and regulatory agencies and regulations concerning technology. You will also
discover ways in which government agencies are implementing technological solutions.
