Paula Cucurella (Adjunct Professor)
Paula Cucurella teaches for the MFA in Creative Writing Department at the University of Texas at El Paso, anf Philosophy at EPCC. She has a Ph. D. in Comparative Literature from SUNY, Buffalo. Her articles have appeared at the New Centennial Review, Revista Canadiense de Estudios Hispánicos, Revista Laboratorio, and Latino Studies, among others. She es the author of the poetry collection Demasiada luz para hacer poesía (Doblea Editores, Chile, 2020). Her first book of literary theory Poesía en tiempos de censura: Jaques Derrida y Nicanor Parra. Un ensayo (under contract at Pólvora Editorial, Chile, 2020), will appear published in the next year. In addition, the manuscript for her collection of vignettes Los últimos inanes días was recently accepted for publication at Doblea Editores, as well. She has translated two literary theory books (El Can de Kant and El Mundo en Llamas by David Johnson), and co-translated one poetry book (Mi Otra Lengua by Rosa Alcalá) currently awaiting publication.
