Mr. Mann is an online adjunct instructor at UTEP and an associate professor of criminal justice at El Paso Community College. After 25 years in law enforcement, Mr. Mann retired from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office in 2013 and pursued teaching full-time. During his tenure in law enforcement, Scott worked and supervised various areas within the agency, such as patrol, traffic investigations, training academy, forensics, records, crimes against persons, sex crimes and homicide.
Scott is also a former (not retired) member of military. After high school, he joined the Navy and came back to El Paso to pursue his career in the Sheriff's Office. Later on into his career, he was recruited into the Air Force Office of Special Investigations [AFOSI] and served in the Air Force as a reserve special agent for a few years.
Mr. Mann is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the Sam Houston State University, Graduate Management Institute's Law Enforcement Command College. He has a bachelor of science in business management, a master of science in administration of justice and security, and another master of science in criminal justice.
