Mari Ysela Noopila, Ph.D.
Visiting Assistant Professor of Leadership Studies
Dr. Noopila has a Bachelors in Business Administration from New Mexico State University (2006), a Master of Arts in Educational Management from New Mexico State University (2011), and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from New Mexico State University (2018). Dr. Mari Noopila is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Leadership Studies Program as of 2018. Dr. Noopila’s research focuses on higher education, public policy, leadership, and administration among other topics. Her most recent publication is: Pichon, H., Guillame, R., Noopila, M. (2018). Moving Beyond Unresolved Fear to Socio-Academic Integration: Employing Engaging Coping Strategies for First Year Community College Students at a Four-Year Institution. Journal of the First Year Experience & Students in Transition. She also presented her work: The Influence of Stafford Loan Debtload on Persistence Among Undergraduates at a Hispanic Serving Institution, at the American Educational Research Conference, New York, NY. (2018). Dr. Noopila has held several leadership roles aside from her teaching career. Amongst many other positions, she was also involved in a Program Coordinator Internship within New Mexico State University, Media Productions (2011).
