AnnDee Alvidrez
AnnDee Alvidrez joins UTEP with a focus on scenic design, properties, and scenic painting. She earned an Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Design from Texas State University with a emphasis in scenic design and a B.A in communication and broadcast media from Sul Ross State University. Alvidrez served as a theatre designer and scenic artist at Creede Repertory Theatre, where she designed for the Young Audience Outreach Tour which provides musical theatre to over 31,000 K-6 grade students across the Southwest. Her work in the world premiere of The Tree Watcher was featured in The New York Times. She won the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival's (KCACTF) National Partners of the American Theatre Scenic Design Award for El Nogalar, the Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC) Ready to Design Award, and the Best Scenic Design Broadway World Denver Award for Dear Jack, Dear Louise. Alvidrez is an El Paso Native and looks forward to working with and for her community.
