Diana Dávila is the Head of the Scenery Department and Professor of Practice at the UTEP Department of Theater & Dance. Diana received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at El Paso, emphasizing in Scene Design & Technical Direction. She has worked in New York City and the Bay Area in various capacities across the scenery category, most recently as a Lead Carpenter at the Public Theater/New York Shakespeare Festival. She has also originated courses in Stagecraft and assisted in teaching a Puppet-Building course at PACE University for the School of Performing Arts during the past COVID-19 pandemic year. She hopes to continue pursuing her education studying the border town identity and its unique intersection with the theater arts.
