What is the "CARES Entrepreneurship Bootcamp"?
The CARES Entrepreneurship Bootcamp (CEB) is a 3-session workshop designed for students from all disciplines who are interested in learning basic concepts and techniques to develop their entrepreneurial skills. The Bootcamp offers students three intensive, one-hour and a half sessions designed by startup experts from the corporate, public, and non-profit sectors. Participating students will receive introductory knowledge on tools and techniques they need in order to successfully start or grow their own business.
Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis, beginning on January 19, 2021, at noon, through January 22, 2021, closing at 12:00 pm MST. This Bootcamp is limited to a 44 student cohort.
Student participants that register, attend all of the sessions, and complete all the assignments on time will receive a $200 Student Notice of Award at the semester's end.
The winners of the College of Business Administration and College of Education Bootcamp will receive awards as follows:
- 1st place, $3,000 per team
- 2nd place, $2,000 per team
- 3rd place, $1,000 per team
- 1st place, $8,000 per team
- 2nd place, $5,000 per team
- 3rd place, $2,000 per team
These engagement activities are designed to spark and grow students’ entrepreneurial spirits, hone their business development skills, and be better positioned for their career path of choice.
