Share a Student’s Story: May 2019 Graduation Candidates

Do you know outstanding students with inspiring stories who will graduate from UTEP this spring? If so, we want to hear from you!

As the May 2019 Commencement approaches, UTEP’s Office of University Communications would like to hear the success stories of our spring 2019 graduation candidates. These stories may be shared with the local media, posted on UTEP’s website and social media channels, and could be considered for the Commencement ceremony.

We seek graduate and undergraduate candidates from all majors who have excelled academically and taken advantage of opportunities to enhance their learning, such as internships, study abroad, research, leadership and community engagement. We want to know how the University has assisted them on their academic and personal journeys. We are interested in how they may have overcome adversity to achieve their goals and earn their degrees. Lastly, we would like to know about their future academic and professional plans.

Please share your student’s story or ask the student to submit his/her own story in 500 words or less. Include the student’s name, email address and phone number, if the student plans to attend Commencement, and the student’s post-graduation plans. Submit nominations to University Communications at univcomm@utep.edu by 5 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2019. You may attach a resume.
